NSW: Man believed drowned in Sydney s south

Surf lifesavers have flown to a popular surfing beach in Sydney's south where a 30-year-old
man is believed to have drowned.

Surf Life Saving Australia spokesman STEPHEN LEAHY says members of the public at Garie
Beach, located in the Royal National Park, are attempting to resuscitate the man.

He says they have just sent out the helicopter to the scene.

An ambulance crew is also on its way to the emergency scene.
