Fed: Trauma of stolen generation forgotten in semantics Labor
CANBERRA, Feb 23 AAP - The trauma of thousands of Aborigines forcibly removed from
their families was being ignored in a debate over semantics, the federal opposition said
today.
Opposition Aboriginal affairs spokesman Bob McMullan said it did not matter if an individual
person was removed rather than stolen from their families.
The mere fact they were taken from their parents, siblings and extended families was
something no Australian could abide.
