MEXICO CITY, Jul 06, 2004 (Notimex/Corporate Mexico by Internet Securities, Inc. via COMTEX) -- Corporacion Interamericana de Entretenimiento (CIE) announced on Monday the grand opening of its "Farm of the Americas", a new concept of entertainment within the Las Americas complex.
In a press release sent to investors, CIE explained that the facility, which opened its doors on July 3, is an entertainment center designed for children and adults interested in living with and learning from animals and the environment.
The project required an investment of around US$8 million and received support from more than 30 sponsors representing various industrial sectors interested in fomenting opportunities and fun for children.
Gabriel Lecumberri, general manager of CIE Las Americas, said that he was satisfied with the initial acceptation of the project which will be taken to other areas of the country as well.
CIE said that the new facilities would have interactive areas for the elaboration of products, areas with computers and animals, a bank and a rural school, plus facilities for hosting children's events and parties.
